Her-Story is a circus cabaret where every act tells the true story of a woman from history whose contribution was erased, stolen, or overlooked.

Told through aerial arts, acrobatics, dance, burlesque, and live music, the show is a walk through the timeline of women's history — celebrating the leaders, artists, activists, and innovators who made their mark in the face of prejudice and constant underestimation.

A portion of proceeds goes to organizations defending women's rights.

Katie Herndon

Katie is the founder and creative director of Levity Arts. With over a decade as a professional aerialist and acrobat — aerial straps, silks, multicorde, and duo acro — she's spent as much time building shows as performing in them. She founded Levity in 2021 with a single free community event and a simple idea: bring artists together and give creativity room to grow. Beyond producing and performing, Katie is a coach, licensed connective tissue therapist, and senior software designer/builder.

This is Lilith Wood's debut! A PNW-born performer of 15+ years and a practicing witch, whose research into pagan history revealed how often women's work was credited to men. Mary Shelley nearly met that fate despite writing Frankenstein — Lilith hopes to honor her legacy.

Agatha Angina was built in a laboratory but learned to live in the air. She moved to the PNW to work as a DNA scientist but fell in love with the challenge and complexity of circus — now honored to combine both worlds to pay homage to Dr. Rosalind Franklin.

Ray runs sound for Her-Story and brings his acoustic guitar to the pre-show sets and the live finale of "Rise Up." As Raymn, he delivers a high-energy blend of tech house, bass-driven grooves, and wonky club sounds — reading the room and keeping the dance floor moving. Playful, unpredictable, and always groove-forward.

The fight for equality isn't a women's issue — it's a human one. Everyone has a role to play. Start where you are, use the influence you have, and keep going.

Use Your Position

VOTE. Learn where candidates and ballot measures stand on gender equality, reproductive freedom, safety, and economic opportunity.

If you're a leader: Build equitable systems for hiring, pay, promotions, and advancement.

GIVE. Donate to organizations doing this work — one time, monthly, or with your time and skills.

If you manage people: Make sure women are heard, credited, compensated, and given opportunities to grow.

LISTEN. Believe survivors. Listen without making their experience about your doubt, discomfort, or opinion.

If you have influence: Recommend women. Make introductions. Open doors.

MAKE SPACE. Notice who gets interrupted, talked over, overlooked, or left out — and bring the conversation back to them.

If you're in a room where decisions are made: Ask who isn't there and whose perspective is missing.

SHARE THE CREDIT. Name whose idea it was. Amplify voices that are too often overlooked.

If you have a platform: Use it to amplify women's expertise, work, and stories.

SHARE THE LOAD. Divide visible and invisible labor more fairly at home and at work.

If you're a parent or caregiver: Model equality in how you divide work, responsibility, and opportunity.

TALK ABOUT PAY. Share salary information when you can. Ask what others earn. Advocate for transparency.

If you control budgets or compensation: Look for inequities and fix them.

SPEAK UP. Call out sexist jokes, dismissive behavior, harassment, and double standards.

If you have authority: Don't leave the burden of confronting discrimination to the person experiencing it.

SPEND WITH INTENTION. Support women-owned businesses and organizations advancing equality.

If you control purchasing or investment: Put resources behind women-led businesses and equitable organizations.

MENTOR & SPONSOR. Share knowledge, advocate for others, and help open doors.

If you have access: Create opportunities, not just advice. Put women forward for the roles, projects, and seats that matter.

ORGANIZE. Join a local group, volunteer, attend a rally, contact your representatives, or bring people together.

If you have a network: Mobilize it. Connect people, resources, skills, and opportunities.

LEAD. Run for office. Join a board. Start something. Back someone who is already doing the work.
