Our founder
Meet Katie.
Katie Herndon is the founder and creative director of Levity Arts. With over a decade of experience as a professional aerialist and acrobat — aerial straps, silks, multicorde, and duo acro — she's spent as much time building shows as she has performing in them. Katie founded Levity in 2021 with a single free community event and a simple idea: bring artists together and give creativity room to grow. It's since become a company known for sold-out productions and festival partnerships across the Pacific Northwest. In addition to producing and performing, Katie is a coach, licensed connective tissue therapist, and senior software designer/builder.
Co-producer
Meet Josey.
Josey Perea (aka Josey Acroteasta) is a PNW-based aerialist, dancer, and contortionist with an extensive repertoire of performing in circus shows, festivals, and live events along the West Coast. She's also a co-producer and creative collaborator at Levity Arts, working alongside Katie to shape the vision, logistics, and artistic direction behind Levity's productions — from intimate cabarets to large-scale festival performances. She produced her first Levity show, Cowboys & Aliens Cabaret, in November 2025, bringing the same radiant, playful temptress energy to the other side of the curtain. On stage, Josey blends effortless acrobatics with warm, mischievous sensuality.
